Only a few hundred...

of these Dark Bordered Beauty moths exist in Britain, on three Scottish and one English sites. I'm telling you that in case you are not impressed by the shot! Had a great course and field trip learning about then seeing several. They only live in Aspen plantations.
The rain kept off for our group of twelve, three of whom were experts.
Very enjoyable! Having another field session next week, surveying a new site.
