Sala Thai

In architecture, a Sala is an open pavilion serving as a protection from the sun or the rain. This is a common feature in southeast Asia. This one bears a definite touch of Thainess.
It stands above water and is surrounded by plants and orchids on the bank of the Chao Phraya River in downtown Bangkok.
