Old St Bride's Church, Douglas
We stuck a pin in the map - well not actually but it was somewhere not too far away south of Glasgow that we hadn't visited before - and went to explore the historic and very quiet village of Douglas. It was a lovely afternoon and a good choice. Thank you mr spider.
This is reputed to be the oldest working clock in Scotland and it was showing some of the eccentricity of old age. It was around 2 pm when we were there. During the afternoon we could hear it chiming at various times as we explored. The times of chiming and the number of chimes were quite random!
