America day 9

The 9/11 memorial is in view of our hotel room and we wanted to take a closer look. It was really difficult for me visiting here as last time it was July 2001 and we had been inside the World trade centre but now on our next visit they are no longer here which for me is hard to comprehend. The waterfall memorial is a beautiful and touching tribute to those who died in this truly awful tragedy.
The rest of the afternoon we spend at the statue of liberty, which unfortunately we couldn't get tickets inside to and then an evening visit to times square which was crazy busy and bustling!
