Broadchurch
A day to recover from the journey, forget about work and to start being on holiday. I went for a run, then BB went for a run. Neither of us really knew where we were going. My run was quite limited to the area we had wandered round yesterday, but TT ventured further and up a seriously steep hill. Later in the morning, BB and I walked to a local viewpoint, so we could survey our surroundings!
We eventually all got organised to go out in search of a supermarket. We headed to Dorchester, and BB was very impressed when we found a supermarket, as it had a fountain outside. It was then home with the supplies and time for a late lunch.
Next stop was Bridport. We parked in the centre of town, had a wander, then walked to West Bay, aka Broadchurch.
We walked to the beach, which given my inappropriate footwear was quite tricky to walk on! Although I had walked considerable distances in my sensible sandals, they were no good on the stony beach which was quite frustraing, so I didn’t go far! BB paddled, but he also found it very tricky to walk on the beach in his bare feet. We wandered and then took a slightly different route back to the car.
We headed home. TT offered to cook tea, and I went out to explore a little further. Later we both watched Broadchurch.
Here are the famous “Broadchurch”cliffs. BB and TT are both walking along the beach, avoiding the recent cliff fall.
