Globe Thistle

At least I think it is a Globe thistle but happy to be corrected. 

I admired a huge plant in a friend's garden so when he split it up I got 4 pieces of root and all have grown into very healthy plants which have now started to flower in different parts of the garden. 

The bees seem to like them.
