Looking Out
The weather had turned, I'd a real hike back to the car and decided to put on the smaller lens which would be easier to keep dry under my mac. Never a good scenario walking round with the wrong lens on and I knew, just knew that I would bound to be needing the 400mm - it was sod's law!
So it was. Nearly three minutes later on rounding the corner I saw a head pop up at a distance in the wheat field! At the time it rather reminded me of a Patronus; beautiful and mystically appearing. Diving down hurriedly changing the lenses again, cursing the conditions, I waited.
The drizzle stopped and the head popped up again, closely followed by the head of his doe. Running off, see Extra, he was obviously concerned about his family so turned and looked to see ears bobbing towards him.
So lovely to see the unexpected especially as the weather was miserable and I had spent 3 hours in the Opticians on and off earlier so was needing a blip too.
