Foaling The Vet!
We left home at 3pm to travel to our friends who own a farm in the Exmoor National Park, near Dunster. They look after race horses for their son who is a Financial Regulator for a large bank in London. He breeds race horses and rides endurance as a hobby.
The blipfoto is of his mare suckling her 3 day old foal. Cutting a long story short, he took two of his horses to be stud and was told by the vet it hadn't been successful. A few months later into the 11 month gestation period, he rang the vet to double check the results as his mares were putting on weight! It turned out the vet had mixed up the results with two other horses he'd tested on the same day and studfarm!
Wi-fi is poor here so I'll have to do catch up when we get home on Thursday.
