Tuesday: Phipps Drugs
Before we left Portland we had a great breakfast at 'Gravy' on N Mississippi. Just across the road was some more great signage. I seem to have developed a bit of an obsession for old neon. Apparently, there are some people who fall madly in love with inanimate objects. There is a woman in Germany who is married to a railway station. That's kind of how I feel about the neon sign that was outside our hotel (see Sunday's blip). I have to believe that we will see each other again.
The drive was pretty straightforward - although the last hour was tedious due to roadworks. And why is it that US immigration officials and Canadian officials ask exactly the same type of questions yet the Canadians are so much more polite and so much less hostile than their US counterparts?
Sandra cooked us up a lovely dinner as a reward for doing the driving. Must drive them round more often!
