Pain perdu
When we come back from the family swim on Saturday mornings, we always have a bit of a late breakfast/early lunch - a sort of brunch, as we've already had breakfast. I had made the brioche yesterday and made half the instructions but still it yielded enough to feed the village! Its not quite what you'd get at the bakers but it has a good crumb which I'm very happy with. For everything I made, 2 pan loaves and 8 muffins, it possibly cost me in the region of £10 with all the eggs and butter - there is a heck of a lot of butter in this! I'm still getting used to the induction hob and its quite lucky that the blini pans work on here. Everything else is going down to France.
