Scul?ture
Saw these for the first time today and walked a couple of miles to get this shot, first attempt from Parklea saw us run out of time and realise they would be back to front from that angle and we'd have to walk further than we had time for to get them the right way round. This one was taken from the Newark side but it was a fair treck from the castle car park along the Clydeside walkway to get close enough for a decent shot. I had totally forgotten about the tide but I think the water, submersion and reflection add to the concept.
The question marks are part of a celebration of the work of George Wylie which was scheduled to celebrate his 90th birthday but which has taken on new significance with his passing earlier this year. Seeing works inspired by his creativity right there IN the Clyde is just brilliant.
Another lovely day; ;longish lie and quiet morning, family brunch, visit with the in-laws (with cakes and photos of 13 year old Carlos with longish hair!!), homemade pizza and x-factor to follow.
I'm really enjoying this weekend!
