Martha...
A night of rain, followed by a morning of rain. But, as is the way, it stopped, so we went for a walk down the beach, saw a couple of brave folk swimming.
After the rain, the stepping stones in the stream were slippy. Iain found this out when he fell into the water. So, back to the tent to change, and then up to the hall for some lunch, beer and music.
Martha Ffion did a beautiful set, as did eagleowl, but we had trouble hearing them over the sound of the rain.
Another evening of music, dancing and singing. Withered Hand is always good for a singalong, as are Kid Canaveral and, of course, Pictish Trail - owner of Lost Map Records and organiser of Howlin' Fling. Johnny and his glittery band did Eigg proud - and I'm pretty sure you could hear the set all the way over in Rhum.
So, remember the rain, and the burn? After several more hours of rain throughout the day, by the time we headed back to the tent, the water was higher and the stones less visible. It was decided it'd be safer just to wade across, rather than try and drunkenly balance our way across. So we did. Wet feet, but the rest of us was dry....just as the rain came thundering down again.
We fell asleep to the sound of the rain and, when it stopped from time to time, the dj set , drifting across the island.
