Tiny Tuesday - 114

This is a plane tree seed head on the ground under the tree with the seeds starting to sprout out of it. I was thinking I might pick it up and take it home and see how it grows - maybe tomorrow.

It was freezing this morning when we headed off for the walk before work. As we passed the lake there was mist hanging over the water and all the ibis had taken to the top of the paperbark trees to catch the first rays of warmth from the sun. The lake is very very full after all the rains and the island that the trees are on is completely submerged. It will only take a few days to drain away and Ibis City will get into full swing again ;o). I've added a shot of the lake and mist in extra's.
