Blooming amongst the heather.

Happy Yorkshire Day everyone.
Where better to celebrate than with a walk on Harden Moor as the heather is coming into bloom. A bit of climbing and a warm, pleasant and steady 4.5 mile walk was a good practice for Grace before she heads up to Scotland at the end of the week.

We took in the stone circle where Grace being Grace of course had to perform - extra.

We were so warm when we got back we took our lunch out into the garden. Within an hour there was thunder and lightening and a really heavy downpour. Such is summer.

The sun is out again now though I can still hear distant thunder. Hope it goes away as we are heading into Leeds for tea with a friend and then going on to the Grand to see the National Theatre's production of Jane Eyre.
