Neighbour Jo has a tree of this gorgeous lemon growing in his garden.

'Would you like some oranges, lemons and limes?' he said as we crossed paths on a hound walk on a very cool and blustery day. 'I'll leave a bag by the post box' and there were three of these beauties jostling with lemons oranges and the juiciest limes on the planet in the bag.

Not juicy are the Buddha's hand lemons  but hey perfect for infusing the rind in gin or vodka, in marmalade and vinaigrette, a room scent or even slivers chucked in the washing machine!
