Rueil Malmaison
I met the woman who seems to run the accommodation today, she seems very nice and we were able to joke with her about it being warm for us as we're English and she warned us multiple times that we needed an umbrella. We probably should have listened and did end up getting a bit wet.
We thought at first we had walked to part of Nanterre, turns out it's actually the suburb next door which is called Rueil Malmaison. The first word we're still working out how to say properly.
It seems a very nice place and we wandered round and had some amazing hot chocolate in the cafe library. We also met a lovely lady in the tabac who told us about the link between Napoleon and Rueil Mal-maison as we couldn't work out why he seemed to be everywhere. Turns out he lived there with Josephine.
In the evening we went into Paris itself and had dinner with other people from uni. It was really nice though a bit odd to see them on the Champs-Elysee! Think it'll take a little while before it hits me that I actually live here now.
