Man on a Mission

Another trip to the Greyhound Kennels near Wisbech with Don for their open day.   Don has shares in quite a number of hounds but not this one, I thought it he was a handsome boy!

I'm still not totally settled with the idea of dog racing, but I had the same feelings today as I did last time I visited,  all the dogs here seem happy, healthy and much loved by all who look after and train them.  There are also a large number of retired hounds here waiting to find homes.

A good day out, if a little disorganised,  nice food, a couple of beers and a good catch up with Don.  It was his Mum's anniversary today so it was good he was in company.  Her sudden death was traumatic and has left him with memories that are very difficult to deal with.
