Flat Calm

A tranquil start to the day, flat calm and warm.  Not a sound.  Perfect.

A day of gardening for our neighbour who is still recovering from abdominal surgery.  He had his 20 stitches taken out today, so I helped his wife, Ruth, do some weeding then edged and mowed their lawn.  In exchange I got 3.5kg strawberries and a cabbage!   

Bubble and squeak for tea, with some of yesterday's cold chicken, followed by an evening of jam making!
