The Chase

One of the local (and many) historic houses, Loseley (of the ice cream fame if you know it) was having a garden show, which included entry to their gardens, which are always worth a visit. So what better for a Sunday trip out. I also took the opportunity to visit the house, which is still the family home so only 3 of the main rooms can be viewed, including a magnificent Tudor Hall and well stocked library.

A hawk flying display with a difference was also featured: the difference being that the birds were flown between members of the public, giving a more intimate display.  The final public contribution was for 3 people to charge up the field dragging a lure before being chased by the hawks, travelling at up to 45mph.  Who would win?!

Back blipped after having to recover my files from a corrupted SD - thank goodness for open source s/w (TestDisk in this case) as I didn't feel the images were worth paying $35 or more for the other  "free"  recovery s/w which was the main hit from Google!
