Witness Protection
What a difference a day makes. Just had a goodish night's sleep and all is well with the world once again.
Woke up to a beautiful sunny day so headed out for a long walk to Didsbury (again) and lunch at The Met (again) with my husband.
Audrey was a bit out of sorts with a tummy bug so slept most of the day, we just enjoyed the peace an tranquility of South Manchester's leafy streets.
When we got home, my husband had an overwhelming urge to wash the car so I sat on the wall and watched him with Audrey in my arms and a cup of tea. I mused that it felt a bit like that scene at the end of Goodfellas when Henry Hill joins the witness protection programme and sells out, moves to suburbia and becomes normal.
Suddenly we feel very suburban and very normal. Is it wrong that it feels quite nice too....?
N.B. Today's blip pic is of a little lad's lost lego piece we found in the road on our walk.
