Sunshine and showers

Bailey has been much more back to himself today having slept off his post-holiday lethargy. He was keen to be up at 8am and to make his presence felt with all inhabitants. He spent some of the morning on his own whilst we went to look at carpet to replace what is down in the hall and dining room which has suffered more as a result of Bailey and his dog walkers than the rest of the house. Two samples identified and measuring up and a quote to be done on Saturday afternoon sees one of the summer jobs started. 

We did a food shop on the way home before rejoining Bailey. And this afternoon, I have finally got around to cutting the grass whilst the sun was still shining and before it was drenched again and encouraged to grow a bit more. I attempted a Bailey-in-the-garden-blip but he was not in a posing mood. So, instead it is a slightly wind-blown dahlia as they have been blooming impressively whilst we have been away.
