Tasty lunch

I was wandering along the road wondering what I was going to blip today when this creature flew right past my nose and settled on some ivy in someones front garden and started to feed. I was very glad I had taken my camera with me as this bee was very content to sit still and let me get up close. I took a few shots before it had eaten it's fill but I think this was the best one. The only other photo I had managed up to that point was a tree, overhanging the pathway and absolutely full of ripe plums ( all too high for me to reach).
