Belated birthday

You know those people who are all over other people’s birthdays but who “don’t like a fuss” when it’s their anniversary? Well, the Minx is one of those. (As, it turns out, are two of my daughters, who were entirely sympathetic to the cancellation of a planned but – honestly – low-key birthday do).
 
Today, though, we managed to sneak in a ‘non-birthday’ celebration, as suggested, independently, by both of the collaborator daughters.
 

Here is the fizz we enjoyed and, in the background, on the left, the mothership of fizz, and, on the right, one of my presents for the Minx. And, in a very understated way, we had a splendid evening.
