Genuinely jumping for joy!

It had to be a macro shot for me today as I heard that I had received two awards in the IGPOTY 11 Macro Art Competition. I knew a couple of weeks ago that two images had been shortlisted and didn’t dare to hope that both would receive awards.
My “Dandelion Droplet”  shot was a finalist and “Blast of Grass” is commended.

I am really chuffed and would like to thank all of you blippers and facebook chums who give me so much positive feedback on my macro images. It’s that support that gives me the confidence to enter this prestigious competition. I also must thank Robin who encourages me so much with my macro work and doesn’t mind holding lights and reflectors when requested!

This gives me a great excuse to get down on my hands and knees and crawl through the undergrowth for another year.
