Beach Picnic

Dolly back reporting today!

Guess where WE are!! We are way, way north in Germany - almost as far north as you can go! We're actually on an island and across the water we can SEE Denmark! How cool is that? (Hello, Emmy and the Boys!!)

We drove through Germany today. Mum said that was planned very specifically - last year when we were driving in Germany we did not enjoy it one bit! Road works EVERYWHERE and so many big trucks, you would not believe it! Afterwards Mum found out that trucks are not allowed on the big highways on Sundays in Germany so she said THIS time we would plan our route and dates accordingly! And today driving was a pleasure! A few road works here and there but no long holdups. Mum says last year was like the worst day on UK's M25 (ring-road around London - notoriously bad), ALL day long.

So - we have stopped here for the night at a busy but friendly and well-positioned campsite not far from the ferry terminal at Puttgarden. Mum says tomorrow we are going on a ferry!! I went on one before, when we went to the Isle of Wight in April to pick up the campervan. I'm not sure I like ferries, but Mum says this is only for 45 minutes and I don't have to stay in the car like on some ferries and it will save Mum lots of driving.

We got here to this campsite in time to get settled and have a little picnic on the beach and watch the sunset. In case you hadn't noticed, we LOVE a good sunset! So we were very happy! And tonight's WAS stunning! This spot was just a few metres from our pitch - Brilliant!
