.......for Brown Hairstreak Butterflies.

This elusive southern species has been seen in our local National Nature Reserve in August 2015 and 2016. Eggs have been found on Blackthorn in the winter.
Newly hatched butterflies spend much time congregating in the tops of Ash trees.
Here a group of enthusiasts tries to spot them in the treetops.
