FIRA...Santorini Day 5

Today we packed and left the beach resort of Kamari (which I would recommend ) and caught the local bus to Fira the capital of Santorini
Having dropped out cases off we caught the cable car to the old port for our boat trip to the volcano.
#after a 30 minute hike up volcanic rock paths we made it too the top.....in the midday sun!!!
#the boat then took us to the thermal springs. We jumped off the boat and swam to the sulphur pools....well it was an experience but not as WOW as we hoped.
#we we're very unsure about the donkey rides but couldn't face 600 steps and there were loads having rests so we did the tourist thing!!! Not sure The Rev was that impressed!!
#in the evening we had a lovely mooch
around the town and enjoyed a delicious meal away from the ridiculously expensive sunset view restaurants and we still got to see it.
#Probably the best thing is our accommodation that we booked last minute....a cave...literally built into the hillside down a typical Greek alleyway. The shower room was brilliant and the bed was so comfy.
