It was J's Yr 6 assembly today - she had a pretty major role and was brilliant...of course! #proudmum

It was the usual eclectic mix of a play and skits...we had Jedward singing Ghostbusters, Alan Sugar as Blofeld, the Thiller dance..the Monster Mash and it finished with 30 ten yr olds singing and doing the routine to 'Saturday Night' by Whigfield. What's not too love?

So a short but nonstop day at work, including sourcing suitcases, contacting Man United, sorting out technical details for an event at the QE Hall and stringing 100 Summer Reading Challenge medals on to ribbon.

We popped to the stables after school - and the girls petted the horses and Eve had a ride.

Jeanne was quite struck with this fella...things were going well between them, up to the point when he decided a great big lick was what was needed to cement their friendship. It wasn't.

Hope to make the stables a regular trip - they are only short pony rides because I can't afford lessons for Eve just yet. :-(

The girl's days are becoming pretty full now, Scouts and Beavers and now after school clubs too!

Chilled night tonight, wine, pizza, bit of TV and a sulky kitten.
