Caen Hill (Sunday 30th July 2017)

I was nearly blipless today, having decided not to travel on from the Melksham Waitrose to the canal festival at Bradford-on-Avon due to the frequent rather heavy showers. However, I detoured to Caen Hill on the way back to check on the swan family.

Last Thursday I had found them with just one cygnet, but was reassured later by Number 147 that this was actually a different swan family, and I'm pleased to say that I can now confirm this, because having braved the rain I found all three cygnets with Mum and Dad in the side pound behind Monument Lock.
