Dun Caan
The rain persisted all night. Sunday morning breakfast in the waiting room on the pier.
After lunch, the rain stopped and the skies cleared. I went for a run up the volcanic plug of Dun Caan that is so prominent on this island. I have driven through Skye on the way back from the Cuillin for many years and thought I would one day climb this hill - today was the day.
Unfortunately the rain had turned the paths to rivers and I struggled to get any speed up. As I reached the tarmac again I headed east and jogged along to North Fearns on the east coast of the island where the rest were walking back from the Clearance village of Hallaig.
They had spotted some porpoise on the way.
