First day on holiday!!!

The first official day of our holiday and everything has gone very smoothly! We arrived at the airport in good time, had a good breakfast and boarded and departed on time. On arrival it was very hot and we enjoyed the views of the coast as our taxi took us to our destination. Our room wasn't quite ready so we took a stroll down to the beach and had an icy cold drink!

Being somewhere that is very familiar to us certain has its benefits. We know where the shops are and which ones are open on a Sunday! We know where we like to eat and where to take the children.

We sat in some gardens for a little while looking at the trees and the birds that kept flying down - some sparrows, doves and of course pigeons who were scrounging for food (but sadly disappointed!)

We entered our room around 3pm unpacked and headed straight to the pool on the roof of the building. The sun was still hot and so we enjoyed a few hours of relaxing. My photo is the view from the roof looking out to the sea!

This evening is we are going to one of our favourite restaurants down at the beach!
