A "timely" shot on a sunny morning...

I took this shot while out walking before breakfast to work off the effects of eating hamburgers on our Tyne cruise last night. Although it appears that I took the photo at about 8.20am, it was really 9.20 am as the dial doesn't allow for summer time - so I wasn't really all that early!

The sun was shining nicely on the sundial so it seemed a good opportunity. The sundial's on the cottage (near Killingworth) where George Stephenson lived from from 1805 to 1823. It's appropriately named "Dial Cottage"...
