Gin Club

Up and out to return the mini-bus for 0930 although it was closer to 1000 when we got there.
Having returned it we walked a short distance to the Muddy Beach Cafe for breakfast. Having had this on our 'To Do' list for a while it was good to finally get there.
Breakfast - was ok - there is cheaper/bigger/better available in both Penryn and Falmouth + I don't believe I will ever become fond of paprika beans.
We then continued our walk into Falmouth via the Working Boat, part of the Greenbank Hotel where I collected my loyalty card over coffee and enjoyed the view across the water to Flushing.
Onwards into town via the High Street, we picked up fresh bread and fancy cakes from Baker Toms and shopped for Samantha's Birthday on this coming Tuesday.
Exiting the town at the opposite end we were ready for a coffee in Princess Pavilions, turned out to be closed for a wedding. We settled for a coffee at the Gylly Beach Cafe - always a joy!!
I find the place a bit pretentious and chaotic, it's neither cafe or restaurant, doesn't seem to want beach goers in and for the RAF Red Arrows Display is selling single seats at £50, this includes a meal - obviously not meant for 'locals' use.
Returning home we relaxed for an hour before a tidy up in preparation for Clare's 'Gin Club' where three or four ladies gather in the relevant lounge to drink gin and relax. Being Clare's turn to host meant I was banished to the dining room for six hours.
I used the time to read all my outstanding magazines, today's Telegraph, bring my admin up to date and have a TV free night.
At 0200 I ran the ladies home, there is the possibility of some tired ladies later Sunday morning!
