My Grandparents Wedding

After a heavy frost it was a lovely sunny day.

While I was unpacking today I came across my grandparents wedding photo. They were married on August 17, 1914 in Pigeon Bay, Banks Peninsula, New Zealand.

My grandmother was brought out to New Zealand to marry my grandfather. He had meet here while on a return visit to Scotland. She was 33 when they married and that was very old to be marring for the first time... those days!

Within the first three years of marriage they had three children. My grandfather had a small farm in Pigeon Bay. Sadly my grandmother passed away in her 40's because of a Asthma attack. My grandfather lived until 1955.
