This Is MY Spot!

We had three or four of these colorful little tricolored herons fishing in the marsh pond during the early afternoon.
Except they were not getting much fishing done, mostly they spent the entire time fussing and squabbling with each other over the prime spots.

If they used even part of this energy actually feeding rather than fighting, they would likely be less hungry and less cranky as well.
