Are You of a Certain Age

Those of us of a certain age in the UK who watched the BBCs flagship childrens' TV show "Blue Peter" will remember the pets on the show. Since this statue was placed at TV Centre in London (and now relocated to Salford Quays) it has been revealed that the original Petra died soon after its first appearances on the show. However the BBC did not want to upset the children of the day and replaced it quietly with a very similar dog.
