51st Trap Agricultural Show

Today's the day ....................... to be in the right place

I'm pleased to tell you that the 51st Trap Agricultural Show  has taken place today - and was its usual enjoyable success.  Trap (for those that don't know) is a tiny village in deepest rural Carmarthenshire in South Wales.  It was where Will went to primary school - and every year since 1966 there has been an annual agricultural show.

Fears that it would pour with rain, as it has done for most of last week, proved to be unnecessary.  There was even the occasional bit of sunshine to remind everyone that we are still in the middle of summer.  Competitors turned up with their horses, sheep, dogs, tractors, vegetables, cakes, jams, flower arrangements - and all the multitude of things that would undergo judgement during the course of the day.  The refreshment and beer tents did a roaring trade and everyone had a lovely time.

We did too.  It has become an annual outing for us that we wouldn't miss for the world ......................
