Hadlow College
Where I had my mid-life crisis!
Between 2005 and 2008 I did a garden design degree at Hadlow College. Apart from learning 600+ plants by their latin names, technical drawing, science and project managing huge parks we needed to know how to design and build anything we might want to put into our designs. This could be just a footpath or a huge bridge. In truth the course was more landscape architecture than small garden designs.
Hands on work was kept to what was needed in the show gardens at the time. Footpaths was one project and another was these railings in the Japanese Garden. Nice to see they are still standing albeit with some extra support after all these years. The successive courses must have added the paint.
