September Challenge Day 21.

Today is the UN International Day of Peace, with the theme ""Sustainable Peace for a Sustainable Future". In honour of this, all c.1600 kids held coloured sheets of paper and formed the Olympic rings in the school playground. Took this shot from the fenced-in netball court - what they call 'the cage' - where most of the staff were waiting. You can see the teacher organising it all from on top of a step-ladder and just make out the first ring forming to the left. Soon after I took this this we were all called down to provide the flag border and so I was in it too! A professional photographer took some aerial shots and apparently the whole thing will be on YouTube soon so I'll put up a link when it is.

Sometimes... the most amazing things happen at school!
