Future Scientists

What a day! I tagged along with Kaylee on her class field trip. They joined the Canaan 6th grade on an all-expenses paid trip to the Gulf of Maine Research Institute in Portland.

Thanks to funding and grants, this trip didn't cost the district a penny ... and it was an amazing experience. The students were introduced to state of the art technology that integrated education with fun. They performed tests on Lobsters, learned about life cycles and complex systems and took a virtual fishing trip.
