Your starter for ten . . .

Does anyone out in the great world of blip have any idea what this is?  It was in a chest of assorted tools that Mike got from his friend who is clearing out his old farm buildings.  

Also in the box were bike spanners, metal working files, wood working tools and a tuning fork, so quite an eclectic selection!  Odds and sods seem to have been thrown in over the years, and Mike has been sorting through them and cleaning up the interesting looking ones.

The ring on the end is beautifully shaped, and the "blade" itself is tapered 
in depth along its length.  See extras.
