Flower Friday?

For some reason I slept 9 hours - making up for the 3 a couple of nights ago perhaps. It meant I had to get moving to get out weeding before the next lot though of rain. The garden has got really out of hand with so much rain, and us being away so much, but we got a start made.

When the rain came on I prepared food for Katy and Colin coming to supper. We had a simple starter of avocado, tomato, mozzarella, leaves, pine nuts and basil. I made a veggie curry and we had fruit. I was using up the ingredients I had left over, but it was a tasty meal.

I cut these hydrangeas- they will dry and stay there till next year if we are lucky.

#3 daughter sent a pic of her having the start of what will hopefully be lots of treats, a glass of prosecco - Luke had treated them to a special lounge at the airport, en route to NYC for her 40th. We are sharing the care of the children with Luke's mum and sisters. We pick them up on Sunday and they'll stay till Tuesday. I hope the rain stops and it gets warmer!
