Irony

Trains, trains and more trains today for a day trip to Manchester. A ridiculous amount of travel time for a 1 hour meeting.
I saw this sign as I waited for the train home from Manchester Piccadilly. If only had been true. Unfortunately there was an incident on the track somewhere north of Manchester (an unpleasant incident - don't ask), and the train network ground to a halt. Well almost, I did find myself waiting for a train to Clitheroe at one point ( my birth place). But was then redirected on to Preston as thing started moving again. It took some time and I eventually arrived home at 11.30pm - having left my meeting at 3.30.
