Lithica

Lithia stone quarries in Menorca. Some of the old quarry has been turned into gorgeous gardens full of Mediterranean plants - olives, almonds, figs.

This is one of the more recent machine cut quarries. Very deep, very neat and relatively cool. 36 degrees means an off the beach day. It also should have meant staying out of a hot stone quarry.

Back along the Cami del Kane, a road built by the British governor, Richard Kane, way back when. I'm not sure he actually did the work but it's an interesting, shaded, rural road.

Off for a swim presently!
