A new resident

The National Trust took over the management of Shugborough and they have made a few changes.

NT members don't have to pay for parking any more.

They've revamped the entrance (but the queues are as bad as ever). They've got rid of the staff cars that used to be parked in front of the Mansion so you can now get a clear and lovely photo as you approach. They've put in lots more seats but they've changed many of the routes and blocked off parts so they are needed.

This new resident doesn't appear to be particularly impressed.

Dark and overcast today so there were no butterflies in either of their wildflower meadows. I'll have to go back when the sun shines.
