distant fireworks

About a mile from my house the other side of a hill is a hotel that specialises in weddings. If you pay a big chunk extra you also get fireworks. Unfortunately they're cheap fireworks and don't go quite high enough for us to see so all we get is a lot
of annoying bangs for 5 minutes and a slightly brighter hilltop.

you might have guessed, I'm a bit "Bah Humbug" about the commercial side of modern weddings, for instance this hotel wont consider a booking unless there are 100 guests for a Friday night and more for a Saturday.
