Different perceptions

This is the same bridge I blipped from yesterday, seen from down on the tow path. I'd never in my life considered walking from Birmingham University to New Street station, but I did the walk today. I've always thought of Birmingham University as being miles out of the city centre. Well, it is, but not that many miles. Probably around 3 miles. We finished as scheduled, so I walked into the city and had lunch at Pizza Express overlooking canal basin, before wandering on a bit further to the station to await the train. Lazily spent most of the way back watching stuff on iplayer on the ipad. It was thankfully a less eventful journey than Tuesday's.

An interesting couple of days.
