Dinnertime
What amazing legs and feet! Such delicate joints, and those heartbreakingly tiny claws. It looks like you could break the whole thing to bits just by thinking about it. What a wonder to watch it move ever so carefully across the rose, all those sensors reaching, testing, evaluating. And now it reminds me of a cow in pasture, head down, savoring its dinner. Wait--his dinner is my rosebush! I didn't have the heart to shoo away such complexity. Good thing it's just one grasshopper and not a plague.
