I can see clearly now

Age is creeping up on me. Although the opticians insist I don't need glasses for reading as I can still easily read the small print on their hand held chart, I've noticed a real decline. I wear contacts and although I have a strong prescription for distance my up close sight has always been excellent, with or without my contacts in. However nowadays, when I'm wearing my contacts I can't properly focus on really small things, so tasks like threading needles are getting harder. Obviously popping lenses in and out isn't an ideal solution so I decided I'd invest in some off the shelf glasses. These cost me the princely sum of £1 from Poundland and they work. Yes, I can see clearly now.
