Closer To Fine
Another day, another city. Bristol today for the last of our Indigo Girls' concerts - my second and L's fourth. Having settled into our hotel we went for something to eat and wandered about a bit - glorious sunny day so sat in the shade for a bit too. We checked out the venue and saw there was the beginnings of a queue and so rather than wait somewhere else we joined the dozen people who were already there. By the time doors opened the queue snaked away round the corner but once inside we were able to get prime spots right at the front. An excellent concert, even if it got rather hot and sweaty. Maybe, because. There was definitely much more connection with the largely standing crowd than there had been in Nottingham. The set list included some of the same songs but plenty of others they hadn't played at the other gig I saw. And they did one of my faves - 'Chickenman' - which really got the audience going. And 'Galileo' and 'Closer To Fine' were pretty special too. I even managed to take a few pictures.
